I Enjoy Being a Girl

Hello Dears.  Just a bit of fun here.  I thought I would put up a few of the songs which I sing for fun and which define me as Xandra.  I couldn’t help but notice that most of these are show tunes.  Now isn’t that a strange phenomena for the LGBT community?  😀   😉

Oh yes indeedy…

Bobby Darin never made his sexuality public of course…

I bang my own drum.  Some think it’s loud, I think it’s pretty…

Okay, long time since I was 16 (don’t ask – it’s rude to ask a lady her age), and I’m somewhat confused by her singing this and wearing mannish clothes, but the sentiment is still there…

Let’s go girls…

My apres-bath song…

Who could not have loved the gorgeous and wonderful Audrey Hepburn?  Sadly not her voice however.  Audrey’s voice was too flat for this song, so Marni Nixon’s voice was dubbed in.  Still a favourite movie moment though..

Who doesn’t ADORE Shirley Bassey?…

“You can’t just going round kissing every man that ask ya.”  Says who?  Sometimes I can be a naughty girl 😉 ….

And at the end of the day, is it too much to ask for girls? ….

So come on girls, which songs do YOU like, or define your sexuality and gender identity?

  1. Naturally any song where a female vocalist sings a song originally sung by Mick Jagger or John Lennon or Daryl Hall or the and does not change the lyrics to make it “work”. Joan Jett singing “Crimson and Clover” comes to mind.

  2. I went to the Northern Concord Bollington weekend a wheen nervous, and let my wig down to an instrumental with piano and wordless voices, as well as a pounding beat. I was completely elated. No longer apologising.
